About Us
A Tucson remodeling contractor that would rather lose a job than start one that should not be built.
Majestic Renovations is a licensed and insured remodeling contractor working in Tucson and across Southern Arizona. More than ten years in Arizona, over two hundred completed projects, and a five-star Google rating across 47 reviews.
Those are the numbers. What actually separates contractors in this market is narrower and less flattering to say out loud: whether they tell you the expensive thing before you sign, or after.
Tucson houses have specific, knowable problems, and every one of them costs money to solve. Almost all of them are invisible in a rendering.
Your house sits on a slab, so moving a sink is concrete work rather than plumbing work, and that single decision routinely separates a $55,000 kitchen from a $95,000 one. If your home went up after the mid-1990s the slab may be post-tension, and some things simply cannot be cut. If you are in midtown, your walls are probably burnt adobe or block, which means an engineer rather than a sledgehammer. There is likely caliche under your yard, which turns a day of excavation into three. And your electrical panel is very possibly at capacity, which nobody discovers until the walls are already open.
We would rather have those conversations at the kitchen table with a free estimate in front of us than in week three with a change order and no leverage on your side. That is the whole approach, and it is why our guides publish real price ranges that most contractors in this market will not.
We turn work down, and we rescope it more often than that. If your budget covers new cabinets but not the panel and the ducting the house actually needs, we would rather phase the project than bury a known problem behind new drywall. If you are selling in under three years, a targeted kitchen and exterior package will serve you better than a whole-home remodel that does not return its cost. And if the real problem is that the house is 1,400 square feet and the family needs 1,900, no amount of beautiful finish work fixes that, so we will talk about an addition or a casita instead.
How We Work
Design, engineering, permitting, construction and finishes under a single point of responsibility. No coordinating four trades who each blame the others.
With the allowances spelled out, so you can compare ours against anyone else's line by line. A quote is only cheaper if it is for the same work.
The metro spans six of them. We confirm which governs your address before quoting, because it changes both the cost and the schedule.
At the end you walk the project and write the list. We clear it before the final invoice, not after.
350 sunny days, 105°F summers, monsoon wind and rain, caliche underfoot. Everything is designed around those rather than adapted to them afterwards.
We will tell you when waiting two months for the right weather window gets you a materially better result for the same money.
Verify us, and everyone else
Arizona requires a Registrar of Contractors licence for essentially any construction work over $1,000 including materials. You can check any contractor's licence, including ours, at roc.az.gov.
An unlicensed contractor has no lien rights and leaves you with no access to the ROC recovery fund if something goes wrong. It takes two minutes to check and it is the single most useful thing a homeowner can do before signing anything.

Yes, licensed and insured in Arizona for all the work we perform.
Worth knowing generally: Arizona requires a Registrar of Contractors licence for essentially any construction work valued over $1,000 including labour and materials. Unlicensed contractors have no lien rights and leave homeowners without access to the ROC recovery fund. Any contractor's licence can be verified at roc.az.gov.
Both, depending on the trade, which is normal in residential construction. What matters is that every trade on your project is licensed and insured independently, and that one person is accountable for the whole thing.
Ask any contractor who is on site daily and who you call when something is wrong. If the answer is vague, that is the answer.
Tucson, Oro Valley, Marana, Catalina Foothills, Sahuarita, Tanque Verde, Vail, Rita Ranch, Dove Mountain, Flowing Wells, Midvale Park and South Tucson, plus the surrounding communities.
Those areas span six different permitting authorities, which is why we confirm jurisdiction before quoting. See the permits guide.
We come out, walk the space, talk through what you are trying to achieve and what the house will actually allow, then follow up with a written, itemised estimate.
It is free and carries no obligation. We would rather tell you honestly that your budget does not reach your scope than start a project that has to stop halfway.
